Formula E’s first dive into the gaming space with ROBLOX’s ‘Electric Lap’

Today (Thursday, 18th December) marks Formula E’s first dive into the gaming space with the launch of ‘Electric Lap’ – a multiplayer ROBLOX experience aimed at involving younger generations in Formula E through the accessible, expressive and community-driven virtual world of ROBLOX.

The experience, developed and brought to life by developer Feenix, will take players around the globe to both real-world and stylised tracks to perform in races of strategy and skill, including energy management and ATTACK MODE.

Electric Lap will evolve over time, with more content being added over the 2025-26 season and beyond.

Formula E CEO, Jeff Dodds, said: “We’re opening the door to millions of young players to discover the thrill of electric racing through gameplay that’s fun and truly creative.

“I’m genuinely excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to see it evolve throughout this coming season.”

Not only will Formula E take this opportunity to connect with newer, younger fans, but some features of Electric Lap will appeal to older fans too, including the addition of older generations (Gen 1 to upcoming Gen 4) of electric single seaters and teams, including Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan and more.

ROBLOX is driven by player and developer creativity, proving the perfect platform for customisable and unlockable content including liveries, avatar items and user-generated content from across other ROBLOX experiences.

The live-service nature will also allow additional content and live events aligned to real Formula E race weekends.

Formula E: Electric Lap will be available to ROBLOX users from 18:00 UK time today.
